Job Summary and Mission
This position contributes to success of the Reserve & Roastery locations by leveraging culinary leadership and expertise to assemble high-quality food products for our customers. Crafting food offerings including salads, sandwiches, pastries, and pizzas from our Reserve Kitchens, a Roastery and Reserve baker is responsible for food preparation, proofing of pastries and breads, and the assembly and baking of products. Partners are expected to demonstrate culinary leadership in a fast-paced environment. The incumbent is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Food Expert & Brand Ambassador:
Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Starbucks
Serves as an in-store food expert providing exceptional knowledge of our products and the ingredients used in those products
Demonstrates impeccable composure and ability to thrive in ambiguous situations. Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operations to standard and to set a positive example for the team
Consistently prepares quality food items for all customers by adhering to recipe and presentation standards
Contributes to our exceptional customer service by keeping up with production demands throughout the day
Supports execution of Roastery and Reserve special events as needed
Follows all health, safety and sanitation guidelines
Assists with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed
Contributes to positive team environment
Recognizes and reinforces individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational methods
Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
Operations:
Prepares batches of pizza, croissants, brioche; assembles sandwiches and salads; heats soup and prepares made to order baked eggs and aperitivo items
Ensures proper proofing of various doughs and laminates
Reviews daily prep lists and production needs to determine variety and quantity of goods to bake and assemble by day part
Receives and verifies deliveries from the main kitchen, ensuring all ingredients and products are prepared and delivered according to established standards.
Adheres to standard inventory management and storage procedures
Attends to daily maintenance needs of kitchen and equipment and ensures availability of needed supplies.
Completes production sheets and other records as required
Follows Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift
Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that partners can locate resources and product as needed. Manages cleanliness of utensils and equipment

Basic Qualifications
