We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior VLSI Physical Design (Backend) Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
Technically Lead the physical design flow for complex VLSI chips, ensuring high performance and reliability.Develop and implement physical design flows and methodologies, including floorplanning, placement, routing, IR drop and Timing closure.Drive the development and improvement of physical design methodologies and flow automationPerform physical verification, including DRC, LVS, and ERC, to ensure design compliance with manufacturing standards.Optimize power, performance, and area (PPA) metrics through advanced techniques and tools.Collaborate with other design teams to ensure seamless integration and optimization of design specifications.Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and support.Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in VLSI Physical design.QualificationsBachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering.Minimum of 10 years of experience in VLSI physical design, with a proven track record of successful projects.Excellent familiarity with all Physical Design implementation flows and techniques, including floorplanning, placement, routing, and timing closure.Proficiency in Synopsys EDA tools (Cadence is an advantage).Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or TCL.Strong understanding of physical verification processes, including DRC, LVS, and ERC.Experience with power, performance, and area (PPA) optimization.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Experience with advanced technology nodes (FinFET and beyond).Inside this Business GroupThe Client Computing Group (CCG) is responsible for driving business strategy and product development for Intel's PC products and platforms, spanning form factors such as notebooks, desktops, 2 in 1s, all in ones.
