About the Team / Business Unit

Cognizant collaborates with all major hyperscalers and relevant software vendors in the data and AI space. This includes partnerships with industry leaders such as AWS, Microsoft, Google, Snowflake, and Databricks. Our comprehensive approach ensures that we leverage the best tools and technologies to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient solutions. Additionally, we are supported locally by our dedicated Centres of Excellence, which operate both nearshore and offshore. These centres provide specialized expertise and resources, ensuring that we can meet the unique needs of our clients and drive innovation in AI and data cost effectively.

About the role

As a Data Architect you would review and analyze an organization's data infrastructure, plan future databases, and implement solutions to store and manage data for organizations and their users. This includes naturally the relationships with the customers as well as the Cognizant account managers & other leaders

Key responsibilities

Responsible for solution architecture on customer existing and proposed processes. Design, support and provide guidance for the upgrade, management, decommission and archive of data in compliance with data policy Understand & incorporates non-functional requirements

Requirements

Knowledge on Azure cloud platform Must have thorough conceptual understanding of the data architecture landscape, how it has evolved from data warehouse to data lake to data lake house and experience of implementing them in any platform (on premise or cloud) Must have understanding and relevant experience of the Big Data Ecosystem (in particular Spark) Must be experienced in handling data movement in batch and streaming, subject to typical use cases B2 level Norwegian skill is mandatory
