We are experiencing explosive growth as a leader in the financial technology industry and are looking for an Assistant Vice President to play a pivotal role in leading our expanding Product Development teams. As an AVP of Product Development at United Wholesale Mortgage you will lead a vertical of multiple cross-functional development teams and play a key role in advancing our enterprise applications, while working collaboratively with our IT and business teams. 

 

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience with the entire software development life cycle and have the demonstrated ability to control work scope and timeline, to assure the delivery of business value. A track record of success in incremental agile delivery is a must, as is the ability to execute in our fast-paced environment, where code is deployed frequently, all while supporting and growing their team members. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Lead multiple cross-functional agile delivery teamsWork with our stakeholders and product owners to understand their expectations, opportunities, and goals for their products Execute with a high sense of urgency, provide updates to your teams, stakeholders, and Product Owners around any issues.Provide active coaching and mentorship to direct reports in alignment with the company culture and valuesCollaborate across IT and business areas to assure efficient use of technology to solve business problems and increase operational efficiencyFoster collaboration amongst teams and leaders regularly and ensure effective communication across team and business linesImplement best Software Development practices with your teamsAssist with creating and driving application development initiatives= WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Required:

3+ Years of professional work experience on an product development team2+ Years of experience as an IT Leader2+ Years of experience in an Agile environmentComputer Science-related degree or equivalent work experienceExperience leading, coaching, and mentoring team members, and empowering team members to grow their skills, regardless of their role Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both technical and non-technical team members Strong analytical problem-solving skillsExperience with client management, including expectation setting and relationship managementAbility to work with limited guidance in a team environmentExcellent organizational skillsThis position requires on-site attendance.

Preferred:

Experience in the mortgage industryExperience with work tracking tools, like Jira THE PLACE & THE PERKS
