AVP, Claims Business Consultant

The Commercial Claim Business Consultants report directly into a Commercial Insurance VP. Executive Claim Business Consultant. Candidates for this role will be responsible for the Claim Account Management of a diverse portfolio of upper middle market accounts and programs in North America. The account portfolio encompasses diverse industry practice, and varying program structures. Claims may be managed by Chubb Claims or a Third-Party Administrator. The candidate may also be responsible for leading and/or assisting in initiatives that will positively impact customer experience and enhance staff team development/training. Additionally, this individual will be required to effectively collaborate with internal and external business partners to drive and support production goals through the execution of tailored claim service deliverables and business solutions to key commercial insurance customers which reflect the world-renowned Chubb brand. This position will require 30% travel, and the candidate will be required to work out of a Chubb Office in the region/office (Boston, Chicago, or New York) in which the candidate was hired when not on business travel. 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Positively influence the acquisition and retention of key Commercial Insurance accounts. Deliver client-driven tailored claim services to qualifying accounts which include:  Acting as a single point of contact throughout the life cycle of the policy term Developing a deep understanding of the customer’s operations and culture  Onboarding the customer to Chubb Claims Negotiating and implementing special handling instructions consistent with the customer’s needs and our capabilities Facilitating claims reviews at the appropriate level based on the customers profile and claim activity.  Timely and effectively addressing customers inquiries and/or escalations Executing training and educational sessions based on the customer’s interest and/exposure Executing a stewardship report/meeting prior to the end of the policy term Meet in-person with insureds and brokers to address account management strategies Build strong relationships with underwriting, risk engineering, claims, and the producer community associated with key upper middle markets commercial customers within North America. Align with the regional Commercial Insurance team to exceed business objectives and provide a superior customer claim experience. Recognize claims handling issues and provide recommendations that will alleviate barriers, improve efficiencies and enhance the customer experience. Partner with Commercial Insurance and Risk Engineering to deliver external claims presentations that support growth and business goals. Understand the competition and effectively articulate the Chubb Claim value proposition. May assist in the training and development of the commercial insurance CBC team Meet and/or exceed specific key performance indicators associated with the above

Experience & Education:

Bachelor’s Degree MBA or JD preferred20+ years Insurance Industry Experience Claim Management Experience PreferredWorkers Compensation, General Liability and Auto Liability Technical Experience 

 

The position level may be determined based on the candidate's skill set and experience.

 

The pay range for the role is $118,500 to $168,338. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.  Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found on our careers website.  The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
