Job Brief:
We are seeking a skilled Avionics Technician to perform installation, maintenance, and repairs on military aircraft electronic systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of avionics systems, including navigation, radar, and aircraft communication systems. A successful Avionics Technician should have the ability to troubleshoot complex avionics problems, perform routine equipment inspections, and ensure that all equipment meets military standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
+ Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of aircraft electronic systems.
+ Conduct tests to ensure systems are working efficiently and safely.
+ Document maintenance, repairs, and inspection activities.
+ Assist in diagnosing complex avionics problems.
+ Ensure compliance with military standards and regulations.
+ Work closely with engineers and other technical staff to improve and upgrade aircraft systems.
+ Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
+ Respond to emergency call-outs to repair or replace systems as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Inspect, test, and repair electronic and avionics systems on military aircraft.
+ Interpret and analyze flight test data to diagnose malfunctions and systemic performance issues.
+ Perform preventive maintenance on avionics equipment and systems.
+ Install and update software and hardware in military aircraft systems.
+ Use and maintain tools and test equipment to diagnose and repair avionics systems.
+ Read and interpret equipment manuals and electrical plans to understand and solve problems.
+ Adhere strictly to safety procedures and regulations, and maintain a safe and clean work area.
+ Coordinate and communicate effectively with other maintenance personnel and management.
+ Train other personnel and provide technical advice and expertise as required.
Qualifications:
+ Proven experience as an Avionics Technician, preferably in a military setting.
+ Strong understanding of avionics systems, including navigation, radar, and aircraft communication systems.
+ Ability to troubleshoot complex avionics problems.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Strong communication and teamwork skills.
+ Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
+ Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with F/A-18 aircraft or similar military aircraft.
+ Familiarity with military standards and regulations.
+ Active DOD Top Secret Security Clearance.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
