Description:What You Will Be Doing
This Position is in Iwakuni, Japan and will support the Lockheed Martin Sustainment Services, and the F-35 Field Modification Team at various locations. First assignment will be at Iwakuni, Japan with an estimated return to stateside late 2025. Traveling may be required ~30-50% depending on business requirements. Job requirements and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Performs required Airframe and Powerplant General/Technical Aircraft Maintenance (TAMS) (Crew Chief) tasks in support of maintenance technicians in support of tasks identified by the USAF and in technical data issued for the F-35 aircraft.
- Conditioning aircraft for modifications, removal, and installation of attaching hardware, component removal and installations, assistance with software uploads, and various system operational checkouts.
- Fault isolation, troubleshooting, and repair of system failures detected during operational checks associated with modifications and restoration of aircraft to flying condition after accomplishment of modifications and maintenance.
- Interprets and uses various test equipment and works from wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, job guides, and maintenance manuals.
- Must be willing to train and assist in multiple disciplines.
- Responsible for the performance of company programs/projects in support of customer requirements.
-Participates in the maintenance and logistics scheduling and execution.
- Develops solutions to complex problems concerning support to assigned site.
- Selected candidate will have experience with understanding technical requirements on fighter type aircraft.
- Candidate must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, structure repair manuals, understanding symbols, flags, and general notes - Identify aircraft locations by station, butt-line, and waterline as shown on engineering documentation and technical orders.
- Must have updated & current passport for international travel.
- Must be a US Citizen. Must possess at minimum an Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting. Must be able to obtain a Final Secret Clearance and be a United States citizen. This position is located a facility that requires special access.


Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist.

Basic Qualifications:
* Must have 2-years of hands-on F-35 maintenance experience to include working experience and knowledge of Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) to include, Anomaly Fault Resolution System, Customer Relationship Management, Joint Technical Data Navigation, Portable Maintenance Aid (PMA)/Maintenance Vehicle Interface (MVI) activities, Configuration Management and forms documentation and supply chain management activities.

* Must have been previously awarded a 5 or 7 Skill level USAF AFSC, 5 or 7-skill level USAF AFSC, CDI/CDQAR Navy NEC, or CDI/CDQAR United States Marine Corps, or equivalent on Fighter Attack Aircraft.
Desired Skills:
* Working level of knowledge on Maintenance Information Systems such as Electronic Maintenance Instructions, Aircraft Forms Documentation, and Supply Chain Management and Process Specifications.

* F-35 or Fifth generation aircraft Crew Chief or Sheet Metal experience

* Low Observable (LO) Coatings Application experience.

*Experience with Tool Control, FOD, Supply, HAZMAT, Training, Quality, and Security programs.

* F-35 Modification data base system, (ALIS). Autonomics Logistics Information System.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
