Description
Are you an experienced AV technician ready to make an impact? Seeking a skilled AV Technician to support client facilities in the National Capital Region, including Northern Virginia and Southern Maryland. You'll provide essential support for Corporate and business units across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
As an AV Technician, you will be at the forefront of client technologies and user experience, taking on tasks such as:
+ Delivering exceptional communication and customer service skills.
+ Providing high-profile meeting support and assisting with executive-level or special events.
+ Installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining AV equipment, including projection systems, flat panel displays, low voltage wiring, AV racks, matrix switching systems, and control systems like AMX/Crestron/Extron.
+ Supporting videoconferencing setups and operations (VTC).
+ Overseeing maintenance and lifecycle replacement planning for AV equipment.
+ Managing AV tickets in the regional queue and collaborating with Conference Coordinators and external clients.
+ Producing wiring schematics and assisting in small system installations.
+ Providing remote support to AV Design Engineers and the Video Network Operations Center (VNOC).
Requirements
Required skills
+ 1-3 years of experience in AV installation, operations, and troubleshooting (analog/digital matrix switching, audio DSPs, wired/wireless microphones, conference room tech, VTC, digital signage, and control systems).
+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and CAD drawings; knowledge of wiring and building codes.
+ Strong communication skills to work effectively with corporate customers, vendors, and team members.
+ Basic understanding of LAN/WAN TCP/IP and ISDN.
+ Intermediate PC hardware/software knowledge.
+ Ability to manage projects with minimal supervision and lift 50+ lbs.
+ Travel up to 25%.
Desired Skills
+ CTS Certification.
+ PMP, Biamp, Extron, AMX, or Cisco/Polycom certifications.
+ Active Security Clearance (a major plus).
