Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and removing powertrain hardware, assembling wiring harnesses, and supporting engineers with special tests. This role involves working with prototype heavy-duty trucks, focusing on powertrain components such as engines, after-treatment systems, and transmissions.
ResponsibilitiesInstall and remove powertrain hardware according to engineer directions.Ensure hardware is installed per specifications and document any changes or measurements.Build and assemble wiring harnesses for powertrain data logging equipment.Support truck engineers with hardware and instrumentation installation and removal.Continuously gain knowledge of powertrain systems and components.Essential SkillsExperience with powertrain systems and heavy-duty trucks.Proficiency in automotive data logging and hardware installation.Ability to build and assemble wiring harnesses.Minimum of 2 years of hardware installation and removal experience.Experience in transportation sectors such as automotive, aerospace, bus, or truck.Work Environment
The work environment involves supporting a fleet of prototype heavy-duty trucks that operate around Oregon 24-7. The trucks come to the facility twice a day for hardware installation and removal as per engineers' instructions. The role requires working in a corporate setting, adhering to standard safety protocols and may involve shifts to cover the continuous operation of the fleet.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00
