The QMS Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Automotive IATF standard in line with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational objectives. This role ensures compliance with IATF and ISO standards, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance operational resilience and quality assurance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, implement, and maintain the Integrated Management System focusing on Automotive Quality Management System in accordance with IATF 16949 & ISO 9001 and other applicable quality standards.Lead and conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to IATF and ISO policies and procedures in the development center and follow up on corrective actions.Facilitate management reviews, coordinate audits with external certification bodies, and ensure readiness for external assessments.Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics, providing recommendations for improvement and driving initiatives to reduce non-conformances.Develop and implement business continuity plans (BCP), ensuring that they are effective and kept up to date.Plan, coordinate, and conduct business continuity drills and simulations to evaluate the effectiveness of recovery procedures and improve preparedness.Liaise with JCET/WD JV to ensure the integration of Automotive QMS into daily operations.Monitor and report on the progress of automotive quality and related customer requirements, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.Identify opportunities for process improvements, lead root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.Guide manufacturing QMS Coordinator to ensure the automotive QMS being implemented and compliance on the floor.QualificationsREQUIRED:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, Business Continuity, or a related field.Certifications: ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, ISO 22301 Lead Auditor, or similar certifications are preferredPREFERRED:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality Management and 5 years in Automotive QMS Management.Experience with IATF, ISO certification audits and external audit coordination.Familiarity with risk management, incident response, and process improvement techniques.SKILLS
