Automation Technician
**Job Title: Factory Specialist** **Job Description** As a Factory Specialist, you will read and comprehend electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints and schematics, and perform troubleshooting and repairs of these systems. You will work closely with Engineering to help implement new procedures and processes. **Responsibilities** + Perform troubleshooting and repairs on electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. + Collaborate with Engineering to implement new procedures and processes. + Participate in Six Sigma and Best Business Practices projects, including investigation, buy-in, and roll-out of projects. + Work with Quality Control and manufacturing personnel to ensure products meet or exceed standards. + Monitor new processes, including new equipment and tools, to ensure performance specifications are met before release to production. + Implement improvement projects and ensure on-time performance. + Maintain adherence to good housekeeping and safety practices. + Present findings to local and regional management and provide written documentation and reports as requested. + Perform any other duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + High school diploma or equivalent. + Two-year industrial electronic course from a reputable school. + Five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Understanding of PLC, PLC programming, electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, heating, robotics, and electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. + Ability to assist with the implementation of preventive maintenance programs. + Analytical and problem-solving skills. + Understanding of Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. + Ability to train and present in front of groups. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Graduate of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program (preferred). + Knowledge and experience with local and national electrical codes and standard practices. + Journeyman or master electrician license. + Understanding of AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks. **Why Work Here?** We provide a supportive and collaborative work environment, offering opportunities for professional growth and development.
