Our client is searching for an Automation Support Specialist for their Johannesburg South Africa offices
Key Performance Areas
Work with local adaptations of the control system functionality including programming and testing
Feedback new requirements on the system based on the experiences in field
Support the ongoing automation projects in the South African market
Handle commissioning and customizations of bigger Automation sales
Handle upgrades and do troubleshooting on existing installations
Feedback product experience to the product company in Sweden
Offer support to product specialist when it comes to advanced RCS functions and integrations
Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science with a Post Graduate qualification in Computer Science being preferred
Required to have 3 ti 5 years of experience of electronics / software design
Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems including Canbus
Preferably have experience working with Trimble Leica GPS systems
Good understanding of radio/network systems specifically WLAN 2454 GHz 450 900 MHz communication
The candidate must be willing to undergo training in Sweden with time away could be as long as 6 months
Good communication skills internally and externally and willing to develop strong relations with the international division
Knowledge of hydraulic systems would be a definite advantage
Project Leader skills is a plus
