In this role you will be part of a team building out automation technology for avionics systems testing. The Avionics Advanced Technology Development Sandbox team is chartered with defining new disruptive developmental process improvements for the Avionics business unit to enable faster cycle times, lower total lifecycle cost, reduce tech debt and enable greater reusability. As the organization prepares for single-pilot operations (SPO), the need for rapid robust scenario-based testing of our systems is needed. The “Million Hour Scenario” project combines the concepts of ontologies, modeling, scenario-generation, automated systems tests, and highly scaled cloud compute environments to conduct a Million Hours of systems testing in 2-weeks of wall-clock time. This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. Candidate must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered. This role is categorized as hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager. Qualifications you must have: + Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 1-5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 0-3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 6-9 years of relevant experience. + Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written). + U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
