Description
Our client, a manufacturing company, is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Discipline Lead with background and expertise in control systems design and implementation (DeltaV Live specifically). The role is responsible to lead, mentor, and manage the automation team in the design, configuration, and commissioning of the control system and OT network. This position will support a midstream client who is building a fractionation plant.
The Automation discipline lead will need to develop, program and commission control programs and systems. They will need to develop DCS programs using structured text, function block diagrams, sequential flow charts and instruction lists across multiple platforms. They will need to be an expert in programming with Delta V. They will also be expected to go to site on a 8 and 6 rotation (8 days on 6 days off) for around 9 months. Locations will be in Fort Sask., and North of Fort MacMurray.
Skills & Qualifications
MUST HAVES:
- 10+ years of controls system design
- 5+ years of Delta V (MUST)
- Must have done module creation and templating (doing sequential function charts creation)
- Past exp. Commissioning at site
- Familiarity with the licensing of Delta V
- HMI Development
- 2 + years as a Project Lead, or lead of some sort
- Programming exp. (must be able to program delta V)
- O&G exp.
- Site commissioning exp.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Delta V (Live)
- straddle or fractionation plant exp.
- Experience with Hyper V
- Audit trailing
- P.Eng, or PL.Eng, or P.TechOur clien
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00
