Automated Manufacturing Manager

We are selectively seeking a Cell Leader with expertise in leading and growing technical teams in a lean manufacturing environment. As an Automated Manufacturing Manager you are responsible for your team, where it is heading, how it performs, and its results.


Responsibilities include:


· Quality, safety, delivery, and profitability of your Products and Processes

· Prioritize and drive continuous improvement projects in your area (operationally and financially)

· Ensure the systems that are put in place are followed by your team

· Set the strategic vision (operational and financial) for your area and the plans to achieve that vision

· Coach and grow your team


Requirements

 In addition to these responsibilities, we are looking for someone with the following characteristics:


Characteristics:

Experience with building a team with a purpose and perpetual drive towards learning. Ability to plan out what long term success looks like for their teamUses key measures in decision-making process and for team feedbackStrong communication skills in team and one-on-one settingsUnderstands philosophy and tools of LEANProven results towards continuous improvements and a consistent progression in roles and responsibilitiesFamiliarity with many different aspects of the manufacturing process, i.e. launch, quoting, price negotiation, etc…Ability to lead through influence in nontraditional organizational team-based atmosphereExperience in tooling and a strong understanding of materials and their properties—The ability to work closely with the tooling design to influence the design for single digit cycle timesWork to develop and manage tooling modifications to positively impact machine utilization, efficiency and quality               Ability and willingness to work up to 70% of time on the floor to help determine and correct issues, improve processes, and create or maintain successful programs 

We're also looking for the following qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferred) or business5+ years of experience preferably in manufacturingMust be a U.S. citizen or green card holder
