As a Project Technology Inventor Specialist at SSOE, you will have the opportunity to use your skills in Autodesk Inventor,  iLogic automation, and project process improvement to enhance our engineering and design solutions. You will work closely with operations and project teams to integrate and explore new ways of doing work more efficiently and effectively. You will also drive change and innovation using VDC/BIM/CAD tools and methodologies across various disciplines specifically in our manufacturing, chem-process, and high-tech markets. The position can be hybrid or remote.

The role can be hybrid or remote anywhere in the United States. 

Responsibilities

The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to provide advice, assist project teams, and deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment. 

Assist Department Management with assessing project team skills, development needs and recommendations for VDC/BIM/CAD training for Autodesk Inventor, Vault, and related design platformsProvide input to the project manager (PM) for project budget and develop the project technology team project work plan (DWP) in association with application workflows, integrations, and processes.Develop Project Execution Plans, including Model Authorship and LOD specifications.Prepare and lead the VDC/BIM Project Execution kick-off session if related to advanced model use. Facilitate the 3D spatial coordination process and resolution of (clash/interference) issues with the project Design Coordinator as it relates to Products with other platforms. Familiar with Reality Capture, 4D simulation, Quantity take-off, Design Coordination and other VDC model use concepts and industry best practices. Perform regular maintenance/upgrade processes on Products and work with Vendor Partners for advance support and training to maintain business continuity for operations. Support the PM, DM, or Tech team with project post-mortem sessions, capture and document improvements to modeling and software design processes and Best Known Methods (BKM's).Provide support to the PM, VDC/BIM Specialists, and discipline modelers throughout the project to maintain health and productivity as well as explore new ways of working and innovation.Participate in the firm's design technology community of practice (CoP) as part of the core group leadership.Occasional travel required.Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Architecture/ Engineering or equivalent degree and 5+ years of BIM or 3D CAD work experience in a professional firm setting desired.In lieu of Bachelor's Degree, an Associate's Degree in BIM/CAD Technology and 7+ years related experience (2 years of experience should be in a role equivalent to SSOE Project VDC/BIM Coordinator) required.Advanced capability with two or more VDC/BIM modeling authoring software, such as: InventorVault AutoCAD Revit Autodesk Construction CloudCapability with VDC applications software, such as: Navisworks Manage, ReCap, Cintoo, Autodesk Application Plugins (i.e. IDEATE BimLink or Model Explorer), etc.Skill with associated software: Microsoft O365, BlueBeam, DMS (document management systems), SharePoint, ACC or BIM 360.Demonstrated skill in Software/API customization and knowledge of Inventor iLogic, C#, or Dynamo. Communication and facilitation in a team/group setting, including effective meeting planning is required, along with knowledge and understanding of design and construction process.Understanding of various project delivery methods, Lean construction and Concurrent Engineering concepts is desired.Salary Range: $90,000-$105,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position. Benefits include health, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, 401K, PTO & paid holidays.    Options Apply for this job onlineApplyShareEmail this job to a friendRefer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
