Examples of Duties + Supervise the work of a moderate sized group of repair workers, helpers, and others engaged in the servicing, maintenance, and repair of automotive and other gasoline-operated equipment including trucks, passenger vehicles, and other construction equipment. + Assign work and provide instructions relative to work orders and repair work. + Inspect repair work in process and upon completion. + Assign subordinates to maintain and repair units and parts in pumps involving tasks such as tightening pump rods, re-facing pump seats, fitting keys in pump impellers, grinding valves, and checking bearing adjustments in pump barrel. + Ensure that required parts are available. + Review records prepared by subordinates. + Prepare requisitions for supplies, materials, and parts. + Maintain records such as employee schedules, lubrication of automotive equipment, and duties performed and generates reports thereon. + Perform tests on equipment before and after repairing to determine operating condition. Minimum Qualifications Qualifications (Required): + High School graduation or GED with successful completion of coursework in shop and auto repair work. + Minimum of four (4) years of experience in assembling, repairing, and maintaining light duty, heavy duty, or other automotive equipment. Qualifications (Preferred): + Two (2) years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
