The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing a team of approximately 10 to 12 Dealer Relationship Representatives. The Manager will ensure Sales Representatives are thoroughly acquainted with the program, which provides consumer loans through dealers. This position is integral to the development of representatives, helping them acquire and nurture new business relationships with auto and powersports dealers, while also ensuring a high level of customer service. This role offers a great opportunity to lead a team while driving the growth of our business and strengthening dealer relationships.

Manage and grow a designated sales territory with an entrepreneurial mindsetRecruit, hire, onboard, and develop sales talentLead, coach, and mentor a sales team to prospect for new dealer partners, present, and sell OneMain products and servicesExecute daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly routines, including 1:1 meetings, team huddles, and department meetingsCollaborate with management to analyze current and future sales prospects and market trendsProvide regular sales activity and results reports to managementPartner with internal teams to ensure efficient loan processing and keep key stakeholders informed on program activitiesMonitor competitive landscape, including pricing, products, and marketing strategiesResolve customer complaints by investigating issues, recommending solutions, and preparing reports for managementExhibit professionalism, deep product knowledge, and exceptional customer service

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced sales environment, preferably within the auto dealer and finance industryProven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales goalsStrong consultative and analytical sales approach, with the ability to influence and persuadeExcellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal)Skilled in mentoring and coachingAccess to reliable internet, telephone service, and a dedicated home office or workspace

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in business or related fieldProven ability to manage and coach a team, fostering relationships with dealers that drive repeat business

Location: Remote

Travel Requirements:Travel 50-75% of the time across the U.S. for key dealer visits, dealer ride-alongs, trade shows, and marketing events. Represent the company at industry events to enhance brand visibility and build new relationships.

Target base salary range is $100,000-$130,000, which is based on various factors including skills and work experience. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive additional compensation program that is based on individual and company performance.
