At PwC, our people in tax services focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy. These individuals help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimise their tax positions.

Those in tax compliance at PwC will focus on validating clients' compliance with tax laws and regulations. You will review and analyse financial data, prepare and file tax returns, and assist businesses in meeting their tax obligations while minimising risks of non-compliance.

Driven by curiosity, you are a reliable, contributing member of a team. Qualifications / Certifications required:

Qualifications - A related tertiary qualification (Diploma or Degree) is essential

Experience required:

1-2 Years experience preferably in the tax environment

Responsibilities of role:

Manage a portfolio of clients with submissions of income tax returns for companies, trusts and individualsLiaise with SARS and clients on all SARS mattersCalculate provisional taxCheck income tax assessmentsDo objections to incorrect assessmentsAttend to documents issued on eFiling and follow up on SARS related mattersAttend to registrations on eFilingAttend to deregistrations with SARSExperience in Word and Excel requiredWorking knowledge of Greatsoft advantageous

Skill sets required:

Computer literacy – Microsoft Office and Google Suites;

Work effectively under pressure and handle confidential matters with tact and professionalism;
