As an Audit Clerk, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day administrative functions that keep the park running smoothly. Job Summary: The role involves preparing daily cash deposits, managing the house bank, and auditing sales reports to assist the Night Auditor. Key responsibilities include posting guest charge corrections, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, and handling payroll checks while maintaining professionalism and security standards. The Details: Position Type: Seasonal Season Dates: April 2025 - November 2025 (length of the season varies depending on location) Pay: $17.00/hour Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays) Why Yellowstone National Park? Responsibilities Manage daily cash operations, including deposits, house bank counting, and change ordering Audit and process early sales reports, correcting as needed and inputting data into Excel Handle financial transactions, including room charge corrections, payments, and employee advances Assist with payroll-related tasks, such as distributing checks and answering employee inquiries Maintain accounting security, confidentiality, and adherence to Xanterra policies and procedures Provide support in training new audit clerks and controlling numbered forms Perform various customer service duties, including selling meal coupons and currency exchange Respond to emergencies and perform additional tasks as assigned by management Qualifications General cash handling experience preferred Accounting degree and/or related work experience Strong communication and people skills Motivational, organizational, and time management skills Knowledge of general office procedures Office machine skills, especially PC experience Knowledge of the following PC software: MS Word®, MS Excel®, MS Outlook® Physical Requirements include: Sitting at a desk for extended periods of time Extensive walking, lifting, and transporting of supplies and equipment at times Loading company vehicles, moving supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds to and from work stations on location (up to 100 yards) We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
