Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Audiovisual Support Technician for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute - Boca Raton, FL.

 A mature and extremely responsible individual is who is capable of managing A/V for lectures and classes.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Manage A/V needs in the 500-seat auditorium (microphones, projector, power point, hearing devices, recording equipment, audio, etc.).

Provide individual A/V support to guest lecturers, managing their presentations, recording lectures, and upload recordings to media sites.

Provide A/V technical support as needed in the classrooms.

Manage equipment, maintain A/V equipment, troubleshoot, and make recommendations when repairs/replacements are needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma from an accredited institution required.

Educational Technology Knowledge of relevant concepts, procedures, software, equipment, and technology applications.

A service minded, well-organized, detail-oriented person with strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills, and a good multi-tasker.

Salary:

$18 - $20 per hour.

Temporary positions are not established positions and are paid from OPS funds. Temporary positions are usually not eligible for benefits and retirement; however, they may be eligible for health insurance coverage depending on the average hours worked per week. They provide full-time or part-time employment in an exempt or non-exempt employment situation based on job duties and salary in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Temporary positions do not have layoff rights and may be terminated without prior notice.
