This group supports technology needs of students and other users including patron devices and remote services, library research, equipment checkout, poster printing, and classroom support. As an Audiovisual Specialist, you will be responsible for providing audiovisual support for library classrooms, events, and patrons. This position is required to work on campus full-time. Telecommuting will only be authorized for occasional/exceptional circumstances. The University will not sponsor a work visa for this position. **Responsibilities** Provides audiovisual support for library classrooms, events, and patrons. Performs maintenance and coordinates upgrades of conference rooms and classroom equipment. Instructs faculty and staff on the use of the conference rooms and classrooms. Works with the audiovisual team to capture, stream, and process video recordings for streaming and archival purposes. Responds to e-tickets for equipment requests and provide a first point of contact for printers and phones e-tickets. Provide auxiliary support to the Knowledge Commons desk and responds to patron requests concerning classrooms, library collections, and other questions. This position will require a flexible work schedule that may include nights or weekends. **Minimum Qualifications** Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalency or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within areas of specialty. **Preferences** Good communication skills and customer service ability. Ability to troubleshoot issues on one’s own and by working with coworkers, supervisors, and librarians. Willingness to learn new skills. Basic knowledge of Windows and Mac computers including video authoring software, printing, and peripherals.
