Audiologist: Part Time Days, New Providence
Atlantic Health Systems is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated part-time Audiologist to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals in Cedar Knolls, NJ. The ideal Candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating hearing disorders, will assess the hearing sensitivity and quality for patients and provide patients and parents with information regarding the results. The Team Member will perform a variety of tests and treatments including, but not limited to, adult and pediatric hearing tests, newborn screenings, Videonystagmography (VNG), computerized balance assessment, ear infections and perforated ear drums, inner ear sensory cell testing, tinnitus testing, Ototoxic hearing test, Meniere's Disease testing and auditory brain-stem response testing. Principal Accountabilities: 1. Administers and interprets audiometric and vestibular diagnostic testing. 2. Implements Audiology treatment program for patients with hearing, balance, and related ear impairments and/or disorders. 3. Performs diagnostic and therapeutic intervention for neonates through geriatrics for detection, management and counseling of hearing loss and related disorders. 4. Gathers all information necessary to properly evaluate the patient's needs, including testing and consultations with other health care professionals, as appropriate. 5. Incorporates evaluative findings in establishing time-oriented functional and measurable short and long-term goals, while considering both the patient's and caregiver's goals in the formulation of the plan of care. 6. Develops rapport and mutual respect with the patient/caregiver, as well as team members, to foster an optimum environment in support of goal achievement. 7. Provides and documents education to patients/caregivers based upon identified needs in an understandable manner. 8. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required: 1. Master's degree in Audiology or related field. 2. NJ State license in Audiology and Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. Preferred: 1. CPR certification 2.
