4006 - Miami Auction Center - 4101 NW 31st Street, Miami, Florida, 33142-5689 CarMax, the way your career should be! **About this job** Under the general supervision of Auction Services Management this associate performs all duties of an Auction Services Associate, facilitates the direction of work, and disseminates tasks. Acts as a leader and mentor amongst the work group and challenges team members to drive performance to results. Observes and reports behaviors of associates to management. **Principle Duties and Responsibilities:** + Conduct accurate vehicle condition assessments by collecting, recording, and communicating all required information (including cosmetic, specific mechanical conditions, options, etc.) from assessments for an Auction Manager’s and/or Merch analysis. + Accurate optioning of vehicles during assessments. + Coordinates distribution of work amongst the team, as assigned by manager, to perform daily functions + Conduct informal and formal observations to maintain standard work execution + Train/Mentor new and existing associates on standardized work + Assists in the selection and maintenance of a balanced workload in assigned zones + Reports behaviors, attendance, performance, and tardiness of associates Auction Services Manager + Supports and participates in problem solving activities + Monitors aging reports to ensure timely disposal of inventory + Maintain and document the transfer of incoming and outgoing inventory that is processed through the shipping and receiving facility + Ensure daily maintenance and security of inventory and vehicle parking areas + Responsible for workplace cleanliness and organization in accordance with CarMax standards + Ensures all equipment is maintained, repaired, and cleaned as required within assigned zones + Ensures proper inventory levels of all personal protective equipment, tools, and chemicals + Provide outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers + Complete the daily scanning and reconciliation of the vehicle inventory + Provides operational direction when the manager is not present + Perform Auction Services Associate functions as needed **Job Specifications:** + Accountable to Associate 1 Competency Model + Meet Wholesale and Inventory Performance Standards + Read, interpret, and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records. + Required to perform multiple duties in a high-energy, fast-paced environment + Speak and listen effectively when dealing with customers, associates, and vendors, both in person and over the phone + Complete CarMax provided training in specific functional areas, allowing for cross training + Work with cross-functional teams to provide an exceptional customer experience + Demonstrate professional behaviors when interacting with associates, customers and vendors + Lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbs **Working Conditions:** + Combination of both indoor and outdoor environment; will include working at times in noisy and/or inclement weather conditions. + Requires walking or standing for extended periods of time. + Flexible work hours with shifts that will include, weekends, and holidays. + Wears CarMax clothing (acquired through company) at all times. + Follow CarMax, O.S.H.A., and EPA standards including use of Personal Protective Equipment, and proper waste disposal in required areas. + Adhere to all CarMax policies including Attendance, Asset Protection, Integrity and Uniform policies. **About CarMax** CarMax disrupted the auto industry by delivering the honest, transparent and high-integrity experience customers want and deserve.
