Description Position Overview: Our client in Louisville, CO, is seeking an experienced Attorney to join their team in a fully onsite legal support role. This position requires a dedicated professional with a minimum of 3+ years of legal work experience. A background in tribal and federal Indian law would be a bonus but we also will be considering candidates with an expertise across a broad range of legal areas. Responsibilities: + Provide high-quality legal support to tribal clients in an efficient and organized manner. + Support with preparation for hearings and trials in tribal, federal, and state courts. + Draft, review, and analyze contracts, agreements, and other legal documents for accuracy, context, and compliance with applicable laws. + Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, motions, and correspondence to support litigation and counsel functions. + Develop and maintain strong relationships with tribal clients, federal/state/tribal agency representatives, and relevant stakeholders. + Advise clients on a wide array of tribal legal matters, including but not limited to business transactions, education, housing, finance, gaming, child welfare, social services, energy, taxation, and government affairs. + Ensure compliance with relevant court rules, state bar regulations, and firm policies. + Engage in business development efforts, including attending conferences and seminars to build and maintain relationships with tribal and other clients. Requirements Requirements: + Juris Doctorate (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school. + Active membership in good standing with the Colorado Bar or another U.S. jurisdiction with a willingness to obtain admission to the Colorado Bar if necessary. + Minimum 3+ years of experience practicing law related to tribal and federal Indian law OR knowledge and practice of a variety of legal practice areas. + Strong familiarity with tribal law and federal Indian law, including litigation and general counsel work is a bonus. + Demonstrated experience effectively advising clients. + Exceptional legal research, analytical, and writing skills with the ability to effectively handle complex legal issues. + Proven ability to independently manage a demanding workload in a fast-paced environment while collaborating as part of a team. + Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on responsiveness and clarity.
