Description Our client, a respected Civil Litigation Law Firm in Oakland, CA, is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. The firm represents Fortune 500 companies, partnerships, businesses, and individuals in litigation across Toxic Torts, Business Litigation, Employment Law, Medical Malpractice, and Product Liability. They are seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney with at least 8 years of experience in Employment Litigation or Mass Tort Defense, particularly those with strong law and motion drafting, legal research, discovery, and trial preparation skills. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-stakes litigation and collaborate with a team of experienced trial attorneys. Key Responsibilities: + Conduct in-depth legal research and case analysis to support litigation strategy. + Draft motions for summary judgment, demurrers, motions to compel, and other key pleadings. + Draft and respond to written discovery and review case files. + Support trial teams with pre-trial motions, exhibit preparation, and legal brief drafting. + Billable Requirement: Maintain a 1920-hour annual billable requirement. Requirements Qualifications: + 8+ years of litigation experience as a California-licensed attorney. + Defense litigation experience in Employment Law or Mass Tort required. + Strong expertise in law and motion drafting, legal research, and discovery strategy. + Experience handling complex defense litigation and working with corporate or business clients. + Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team. + Hybrid: Candidates local to the Bay Area are expected to work at least 1 day onsite per week. + Remote: Available for highly qualified candidates outside the Bay Area.
