Job Description:The University of Florida, in Gainesville, Florida is seeking an Assistant Engineer for the UF Technology Transfer (T2) Center, with duties comprised of teaching, research, and service. Specifically, this position will be responsible for collaborating with faculty, staff, and students within the UF Transportation Institute to develop proposals and implement grants in traffic operations, highway safety, and emerging technologies. Position will also be responsible for conducting (and publishing/presenting) independent research, assisting with technology transfer, and assisting with strategic planning, liaising, proposal writing, and public presentations. Finally, teaching duties will include course development, teaching, and administration of both undergraduate and graduate courses, such as Transportation Engineering Fundamentals, Introduction to Highway Safety, Advanced Highway Safety Concepts & Application, and Emerging Technologies in Transportation, to name a few.
