Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a ASST HR OFFICER TITLE 32 TEMPORARY, Position Description Number D1023P01 and is part of the NH JFHQ J1 ARNG, National Guard. This vacancy is to gather applications that may or may not result in a referral or selection. Responsibilities The primary purpose of the Assistant Human Resources Officer is to serve as the full assistant to the Human Resources Officer. The Assistant Human Resources Officer shares in and assists the Human Resources Officer with respect to all delegated authority by The State Adjutant General/Commanding General (TAG/CG) to plan, direct and administer all HR programs for all Army and Air National Guard (ARNG/ANG) Full-Time Workforce (Military-Active Guard and Reserve Status and Civilian-Title 5/32) within the State/Territory/District of Columbia (S/T/DC). Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is a Title 32 excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Military Grades: 04 to 06 Compatible Military Assignments: Branch Immaterial GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience gained through military or civilian technical training schools, within the human resources business programs, are included as general experience qualifications. An applicant must have a validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have one year of specialized experiences at the GS-12 level or the equivalent in personnel and manpower core competencies. Specialized experience includes knowledge of the concepts, laws, rules, and regulations governing federal civilian personnel management. Knowledge of civilian pay budget policies and procedures and knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures. Skill in analyzing a wide variety of work force data to provide recommendations for improving the human resource management program.
