Job DescriptionThe Associate Vice President – Preview Operations is part of the Preview & Marketing leadership team of AVC. The remit of this role is to define and oversee the implementation of the Preview Centre agenda for the Company, in line with agreed business targets. Primary responsibilities include the achievement of the Company’s strategy, and the annual budgets specifically related to the Preview Centre division’s financial performance and key metrics.
The Associate Vice President – Preview Operations will plan and implement on-time delivery of new Preview Centre locations and source the required personnel to operate them. He/ She will provide overall leadership of all Preview Centre management team members, through a team of Directors, Site Leaders, and Regional Executives, to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction, a cohesive preview management team and a positive community relationship.
Other responsibilities include ensuring Preview team’s compliance with all Company and preview-specific policies, as well as any statutory requirements in areas where the Company conducts preview operations. The Associate Vice President – Preview Operations will oversee adherence to the Company’s approved preview presentation methodology.
Key Responsibilities:
A) Financial and Strategic Management
Ensure the profitability of the Preview Centre division by achieving budgeted targets at or below budgeted costs, with a focus on both volume and profitability.Lead the development of the annual operating budgets, business plans and efficiencies for the Preview Centre division, liaising with the other members of the senior management team including the hotel division as needed.Monitor and supervise performance of all Preview Centres to ensure they are meeting budgeted targets, and ensure corrective action is taken when required to ensure individual Preview Centre budgets are achieved.Regularly update Executive Management Team Members with relevant information and ongoing feedback on performance and other related issues concerning the operation of the Preview Centre division.Ensure Recruitment, PMP, preview tools and training are being managed correctly and timely.B) Compliance
Develop, maintain and enhance a Culture of Excellence in all facets of the Preview Centre Division operation, while building strong team values,Through the Preview management team, ensure all Preview Team Members adhere to all Company and any Governmental compliance requirements, general AVC policies and all Preview Centre team policies. Ensure that all Preview team members act professionally at all times to ensure the Guest Experience and the integrity of the Anantara brand name are not compromised, and that they represent the Company in an ethical, moral and professional manner at all times, Through the Preview Centre management team, supervise and monitor adherence with orientation training and presentation methodology, ensuring that there is no deviation or introduction of ‘non-Company’ approved training or POS collateral and pitch to ensure right expectations are set for new and upgrading Points Owners.C) Leadership and Supervision
Identify and mentor future Preview management leaders from within the Preview division fostering a ‘promote from within’ ethos among all Preview Centre Team Members.Ensure that the appropriate number and quality of Executives is maintained at all Preview Centres to meet budgeted tours, including by language requirements. Monitor recruitment activity and ensure performance measures are aligned to meet financial objectives.Conduct regular performance reviews with Preview Centre Management in relation to their individual and team performances including a review of the previous period reporting financials and establish goals and strategies for the upcoming period’s performance objectives.Ensure a cohesive and uniform system of Preview operations throughout all Preview Centres is maintained in terms of systems, procedures etc, that ensure goals and methods of achievement are common throughout.Monitor and manage the performance of Preview Centre Management Team Members in accordance with agreed minimum performance standards and exercise disciplinary action within Company guidelines as necessary.Monitor use and validity of Preview Centre related Team Member ‘Reward and Recognition Programs’, competitions etc.Lead by example by maintaining high standards and professional leadership, inspire, motivate and use creativity in maintaining a vibrant, enthusiastic and talented Preview Centre division.Monitor Guest concerns or complaints to ensure they are dealt with in a timely manner in conjunction with any relevant departments i.e. Marketing, Club Operations etc., including cancellations during and after cooling off periods.Ensure a smooth rollout of key strategic changes ranging from product, price increase and new regional focus are smooth and effective.D) General
Ensure good working relationships between the Preview Centre Division and all other contact groups within AVC and Minor Hotels, including the hotel operational teams.Key Performance Indicators:
Meet all financial targets and efficiencies in terms of revenues, overhead expenses and profitability for the Preview Centre DivisionEnsure a high level of internal and external customer satisfactionBe an active and contributing member of the Executive Management TeamEnsure timely and successful delivery of the Business and Financial Plan goals in terms of new Preview Centre openings and performanceQualificationsTo perform this position successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. At least five years’ experience in an executive management position, preferably with a multi-site Company offering a Points-Based Product,At least 10 years previous experience in sales, preferably in the timeshare industry,Previous experience within the Asia-Pacific region an advantage,#LI-AC1
