**VCA Civano Animal Hospital & Emergency Center** is seeking an **Associate Veterinarian** to join our well-established, 24/7 emergency and general practice in **Tucson, Arizona** . We are looking for someone specifically to fill an emergency veterinarian position in a hybrid role filling both swing and overnight shifts in a rotating schedule. VCA Civano Animal Hospital provides care for companion animals (dogs/cats), a variety of exotic species (birds, reptiles, small mammals) and large animals (horses, small ruminants and a variety of farm animals). Our ideal candidate will be comfortable with companion animals, and will not required to see the other species listed unless comfortable. This candidate is open to the ever-changing nature of veterinary medicine and strives to provide the highest standard of care. + A valid DVM degree or equivalent, enabling practice in the United States + Completed a small animal internship or have 2 years of in hospital emergency experience + Comfortable with a multitude of surgeries to include laceration repair, cystotomy, splenectomy, gastrointestinal foreign body, pyometra and basic stabilization for fractures etc + Leadership skills combined with a positive, team-player attitude to enable our team to flourish + Excellent diagnostic and critical care skills + Exemplary client service skills, allowing you to build trust and loyalty with clients + Organizational skills, which allow you to work efficiently under pressure and multi-task + The drive and ability to train and mentor our team + Ability to work a variety of shifts and rotate through weekends and statutory holidays. There is a set schedule that rotates with another associate between swing shifts and night shifts.
