Working within our Design & Engineering teams, you'll create some of the world’s most iconic and ground-breaking structures and spaces that transform the world around us, from making journeys easier to opening up public places that bring people together.

Role Accountabilities
The individual should have extensive experience in TD projects especially in EHV Sub-stations and Transmission Lines (400kV above) in end-to-end project management. He should have experience in resolving key issues, and handling execution challenges of Transmission Lines (Statutory/ROW/ Regulatory) as well as Sub-stations (civil erection works) of 400kV and above. T&D offers depth and breadth of experience in power delivery facilities like overhead transmission distribution, underground transmission distribution, substation design, renewable power integration, Smart Grid and more, which offer a wide range of design and project execution experiences. Structural analysis and design of lattice tower and line poles (Steel, LD, Wood) and loading framing trees, plan & profile drawings, authority permit drawings, wire sag and tension analysis, developing design criteria for transmission line design and creating bill of materials, engineering estimate, and quality control reviews. Provide technical leadership, direction and support to the design team. Provide technical and engineering expertise along with a guide to identify, analyze and resolve problems. Identify the development needs of the team and mentor, coach, and develop team members (engineers, designers, drafters) Plan, organize, estimate, schedule and effectively monitor all work activities. Support the project team in developing significant engineering solutions Participate in regular meetings and correspond with Clients. Taking personal responsibility for the preparation of detailed engineering documentation and leading the engineering effort for the project including providing technical and performance oversight for members of the power team. To manage selected projects, project tasks/responsibilities as assigned, and/or design processes (or parts of projects) to meet agreed budget, quality and timeframe targets. To deliver fully documented designs to meet Client objectives and Arcadi’s quality system requirements. To develop the technical competency of direct reports/ junior team members and ensure the application of relevant international and Australian standards and engineering knowledge in various projects.Qualifications & Experience
At least 20 years experience in Overhead line, preferably in a consulting environment. Chartership or Fellowship with ICE or equivalent is desirable Consulting experience in OHL in the US Region is preferred. Familiarity with design codes and standards such as NESC, IEC, CSA, IEEE, ANSI, IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, AND ACI 318 is preferred. Experience in the production of CAD documentation to US Utility Standards and other international design standards. Experience in utility processes from the concept stage to construction and as-built drawings will also be beneficial. Graduate of Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Electrical/Civil Engineering from a recognized University. Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. Excellent mathematical skills applied in engineering calculations. Organizational skills and proactive approach in project management. Ability to provide solutions to technical problems. Ability to lead, with good influencing, motivating and delegating skills. Actively continue to develop technical knowledge and new emerging technology through regular CPD training. Professional registration with any leading engineering body such as Engineers Australia is preferred.Highly Regarded Skills
Previous design experience working with PLS CADD, PLS TOWER, PLS POLE, Staad Pro or other similar software tools is highly desirable. Computer software knowledge in Analysis software/ tools, Google Earth, Arc-GIS. Computational design, design algorithms and automation of data manipulation.Why Arcadis?
