Job Description

Associate QA Analyst

Position Purpose

The Associate Quality Assurance Analyst’s role is to utilize and enforce quality assurance standards and measures for the information technology services within CHEP. This individual will also gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. This will include developing and writing test plans and scripts for the CHEP applications assigned to the individual. The Associate QA Analyst will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate IT processes through careful testing in order to maximize the benefit of business investments in IT initiatives.

Major/Key Accountabilities

Initial focus will be on Test management, with work expanding into other areas as skills and capabilities grow.Reporting, reviewing and analysing QA dataReviews new or modified program, documentation, diagram or flow chart, to determine if program will perform according to user request and conform to guidelines Enters instructions into JIRA and Zephyr Scale to test functionality for validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and conformance to establishment standardsUnderstands the change/enhancement in order to detect errors or within the integrated business layersIdentifies differences between establishment standards and user applications and suggests modifications to conform to standardsSets up tests to locate errors following installation of programWorking with others to develop and streamline workflowsCollecting, assisting with developing and analyzing quality measurement dataMaintain quality assurance database (JIRA/Zephyr Scale) to record test results, documention and track defectsProvide functional knowledge for automation script creation and maintenance
 

Qualifications

BS in Computer Science, MIS or related field, or related, equivalent work experience. ISTQB Certification

Experience

Successful internship or equivalent work experience1 yr experience as Manual Tester

Skills and Knowledge

Excellent written and verbal communications skillsExcellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skillsExcellent customer service skillsBusiness process and functional knowledgeExcellent  MS Office Suite (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, SharePoint) skillsFamiliarity with Agile SDLCKeen attention to detail

Desirable:

Experience in global business systemsAble to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentExperience working in a global team-oriented, collaborative environment, while also needing to have the ability to work independently
