Associate Software Project Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: The Associate Software Project Manager will primarily focus on supporting project teams and leading small projects to deliver Material Handling Systems (MHS) on time, on budget and within scope. Responsibilities will include supporting the workload of other Software Project Managers by pioneering small projects and assisting alongside the full project lifecycle.  

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Assists with partial project plans and task management for small to medium projectsLeads small projects by managing their scope, schedule, and cost internallyLeads the software development of a portion of client deliverables and presentationsWrites and delivers high quality Software related documentationFosters positive communication between internal teams, 3rd Parties and the clientMakes tactical decisions and ensures their fruitionSupports and drives high levels of performance both internally and externallySupports internal Software Project Team within the EMEA region

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education / Work Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in related field or work experience within: industrial, mechanical, or civil engineering; industrial construction management or supply chain

Knowledge / Skills / Competencies:

Basic project planning skillsAbility to work effectively on a team and support prominent levels of performanceAbility to employ persuasion skills with discretion and considerationAbility to gather data and analyze findingsAbility to work independentlyAbility to effectively lead and manage othersInterpersonal skills such as influencing others without bias or authorityCommunication skills, both written and oralProficiency in using Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)Ability to prioritize and manage tasks with an elevated level of accuracy and attention to detail in a deadline-oriented environmentExhibits desire to continually add value and ensures accuracy and quality in all work performedStrong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills

WORKING CONDITIONS: When working in-office, there may be periods of sitting at a desk and viewing a computer screen for extended periods of time. The ability to speak and clearly hear, in-person and by telephone; use of hands to handle, feel, or operate standard office equipment; and ability to reach with hands and arms. Associates are frequently required to walk and stand. The noise levels in this work environment are usually quiet. When traveling to client sites, essential requirements may involve a physical presence in various environments and locations. Physical stamina may be required for prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and/or working in cramped quarters. Exposure to potentially dangerous tools and equipment amidst a variety of building materials is probable, as is occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can vary from being quiet, to moderate, to excessive. Safety shoes or boots may be required in certain situations. Additional safety clothing including gloves, hardhats, and devices to protect eyes, mouth, or hearing, will be worn, as necessary.
