Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$69,000 - $179,300

​​​Organization Overview: ​ 

​​Sigilon Therapeutics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Eli Lilly, is searching for an energized and highly motivated candidate to be part of the diabetes team to assist in formulating media and small molecules in preparation for stem cell differentiation. The candidate should have experience with media preparation, proper aseptic cell culture technique, standard bioprocessing techniques, and ELN documentation.

​​Responsibilities: ​ 

​​Prepare solutions, reagents, and media for cell culture and SC-differentiation with strict adherence to SOPs  ​

​Characterize and assess cell culture media using various analytical methods 

​Make observations, evaluate data, interpret results and document in a well-maintained laboratory notebook 

​Contribute in the coordination of assigned research with other teams as necessary to ensure the completion of the teams’ research projects 

​Maintain, track, order, and organize stocks of reagents and supplies for the laboratory  

​Familiarity with standard bioprocessing techniques such as pumping, aseptic tube connection, and tubing assembly experience 

​Implement process development improvements into manufacturing processes 

​Comply with standard laboratory practices and company policies​ 

 

​​Minimum Requirements:  ​ 

​​B.S. or M.S. degree with a focus on biology, molecular biology or cell biology with ​2-4+ years of relevant biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience 

Additional Skills/Preferences:

​Experience in aseptic media preparation and mixing systems (1+ year preferred)​Familiarity with tube welder and sealerThrives in a fast-paced work environment  Track record of delivering on timelines with excellent organization skills Outstanding interpersonal skills and established collaborative working habits and organizational skills​Excellent oral and written communication skills
