Sales Engineer (Commercial) – Europe (German speaker)

Job purpose:
The Sales Engineer will support the sales of Juniper products and solutions for the Commercial market in Europe with focus in Germany.
The Sales Engineers are a critical component of the Juniper sales team and have a primary responsibility to assist the account team organization with technical sales activities in new and existing opportunities. Sales Engineers have in-depth, hands-on experience on Juniper's products and solutions as well as competitor's knowledge and can demonstrate solid networking skills to end customers and business partners. Sales Engineers play a meaningful role in a customer project by understanding customers’ requirements, designing, and testing Juniper solutions, delivering sales presentations, presenting in-depth technical information about products and services, conducting product demonstrations, and responding to RFP's and RFI's.
What we will challenge you to achieve:
Provide pre-sales technical consultation in the design, engineering, sale, and implementation of sophisticated products, applications, and solutions. Technical and market knowledge in Wired/Wireless Campus LAN, Data-Center, Routing, Security and as they relate to Juniper’s products and solutions as well as industry shifts. Working in partnership with sales teams, strategic and industry partners in assessing the potential application of our products ensuring that optimum systems solutions are provided to new and existing customers. Respond to a customer’s proposals (RFP, RFQ, RFI) and create viable proposals that grow Juniper's business in a driven and opportunity-filled sales environment, by applying your knowledge of processes, tools and techniques. Develop and consult customers on architecture designs, engineering bill of materials, and implementation specifications for next-generation networks and solutions. Use your industry and product knowledge to engage and influence customer technology strategies through showcasing Juniper technologies during technical sales presentations, product demonstrations, proof of concept, and trial engagements. Build, develop, and maintain strong professional relationships with customer IT decision-makers and industry partner community Deliver training and support to our industry partners and customer engineers. Minimum 4 years’ experience in a technical/pre-sales role as a Sales or Systems Engineer. Bachelor's and/or master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, and or related field or equivalent experience. Experience in designing/engineering on LAN/WAN, Campus, Data Center and Security technology solutions. Proven technical capability, ability to learn quickly, and apply skills in new protocols and applications. A desire to learn new technologies and the ability to handle interruptions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to discuss technical concepts to a variety of audiences Ability to deliver Technical sales presentations, white-board technical design sessions, and conduct product demonstrations/seminars Ability to work independently and remotely as well as in a team to accomplish goals. Solid interpersonal, relationship, and communication skills with experience in customer-facing sales activities.
The Sales Engineering team enables Juniper to sell and support sophisticated networking and security solutions.
