Associate Relations Manager
**Overview** The **Associate Relations Manager** 's primary goal is to ensure fair and respectful treatment of associates, consistent with Burlington’s core values. In this role, you will respond reactively to associate relations issues that are reported through the integrity hotline as well as other sources. This role requires a dynamic individual who can collaborate with cross-functional teams, uphold a positive work environment, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations. \*this is a **REMOTE** role requiring the ability to work **EST** \* **A Day in the Life:** + Manage and address a wide range of associate relations issues, including but not limited to workplace disputes, disciplinary actions, discrimination and harassment complaints, and other related concerns. + Leverage expertise in associate relations to investigate both minor and complex associate relations issues encompassing Burlington’s Open Door Program and STEPS (Alternate Dispute Resolution) Program. + Coach, counsel, and advise management and staff to ensure effective resolution of employment-related matters. + Maintain documentation and tracking of all employee relations issues in Navex Ethicspoint system. + Close all matters efficiently, including, but not limited to providing follow-up documentation as appropriate. + Provide proactive strategic guidance and direction to the management teams regarding all aspects of associate relations. + Address education and training opportunities regarding AR issues with management and staff when appropriate and applicable. **You'll Come With** : + Our ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in related area of study as well as 5+ years Associate/Employee Relations Experience, ideally in a retail environment. * PHR/SPHR certification preferred. + Strong working knowledge of employee relations, coaching & counseling employees, conducting internal investigations, and federal, state, and local employment laws (including but not limited to: Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, EEOC, HIPAA, COBRA, FLSA, ADAA, workers compensation, and FMLA leave of absence laws). * Familiarity of the New York Fair Workweek Law is preferred. + Demonstrated ability to positively influence teams, build effective relationships, and possess skills to flex style and interact with associates effectively. + High level of integrity and the demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner. + Ability to prioritize challenging demands and manage time effectively in a fast paced environment. + Fluency in Spanish a plus.
