Associate Regulatory Specialist II

Ecolab is seeking to hire an Associate Regulatory Specialist/Engineer to join our team in Egypt.

Role Summary

The Associate Regulatory Specialist with engineering background, will be responsible for monitoring and organizing regulatory required approvals for equipment (dispensers, controllers, wireless devices, pumps) in IMEA countries using local network support or laboratories/product certification services.
 

What You Will Do:

Oversee IMEA Ecolab business innovation portfolio for equipment compliance.Lead and coordinate efforts to ensure equipment satisfies appropriate testing standards mandatory for placing in the market.Navigate complex global, national and local regulations for IMEA and simplifies for internal stakeholder understanding and reference in the new product designProvide regulatory support to worldwide product development teams for wireless devices, dispensers, machinery with pumps and controllers Partner with design engineers and junior regulatory associates by providing technical consulting/guidance, enabling speed to market product launches.Organize with laboratories and product certification agencies testing of equipment, such as electromagnetic testingCreate and maintain equipment technical files documenting equipment regulatory compliance.Streamline equipment new product development process through Phase Gate process.Assign Tariff code for equipment and review portfolio for Dual Use itemsWork with global team to improve processes and ensure seamless global compliance as necessary.Determine focus areas for Equipment Compliance regulatory change advocacy.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Industrial or Telecommunication Engineering.3+ years of professional work experience.3+ years of experience working in certification agency or testing lab or coordinating equipment regulatory approvals or related equipment compliance activity.Experience working cross-functionally with business leaders and key technical stakeholders.Experience explaining complex ideas to a diverse range of audiences.Project management experience.Knowledge of global industry safety codes, standards / regulations.Experience in leading product safety risk assessments and product liability risk assessmentKnowledge of tariff code classification and Dual Use Directive?
