Your Role:
 

At MilliporeSigma the Associate Quality Scientist will perform Quality Control activities in support of GMP products, including routine testing and peer review of raw materials, intermediate and final products, and stability samples. Responsibilities will include:
 

Perform routine assays in accordance with applicable GMP requirements, processes and/or unit operations.Complete the volume of work required to achieve group/departmental goals and meet deadlines.Contribute to support functions of the lab (e.g., maintain equipment, prepare reagents, restock lab supplies, waste disposal).Communicate the status of operations and bring deviations to the attention of supervisor.Provide complete and accurate records consistent with quality guidelines and GDP requirements.Interface with external customers.In compliance with change control procedures, improve processes through application of scientific knowledge, experience, and principles.Train new hires on relevant SOPs and operations in assigned work area(s), as defined.Perform and educate on advanced analytical problem-solving techniques.Participate in department meetings.Execute job responsibilities to management expectation, aligning to individual, department, and site objectives (equivalent to level of expertise).Maintain high-quality standards in research and ensure a safe laboratory environment.Act in the best interest of MilliporeSigma core values and Code of Conduct.
 

Who You Are:
 

Minimum Qualifications:
 

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other life science discipline.

 

Preferred Qualifications:
 

1+ years of laboratory or quality review experience.Basic understanding analytical tools and equipment.Thorough knowledge of aseptic operations.Ability to function and lead in a team environment.Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and balance multiple projects simultaneously.Skilled in making decisions and attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office to include PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access etc.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot experimental issues and propose solutions to challenges.Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present findings, write reports, and collaborate with team members and other stakeholders.Flexibility and adaptability to handle unexpected challenges and adjust strategies accordingly.
