Associate Proposal Manager
The Associate Proposal Manager will work with the Proposal Managers on a variety of tasks in the Capture Center of Excellence at IAS. This individual will also partake in a hands-on training program to learn the complete proposal management life cycle and proposal coordination skills. Most tasks require a high-level of attention to detail and someone that can multi-task. Strong organizational skills are also necessary to manage multiple priorities and ensure that all proposal artifacts are compliant and completed on time. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations – with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries. **Responsibilities:** + Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to: + Support sole source and competitive pursuits + Create response templates that are compliant with solicitation requirements and company standards + Assist with content reviews to include readability, spelling, and grammar + Format templates, final responses, and internal documents to ensure compliance with solicitation requirements and department standards (files will be in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project) + Review the design and layout of all internal document and customer deliverables to ensure they are professional and visually appealing + Support strategy sessions, kickoff meetings, content reviews, and other key meetings + Take notes, present content, and track action items in meetings + Track key programs and pursuits + Ensure all internal trackers and reports are formatted properly and updated in a timely manner + Assist with department file management and updates **Qualifications You Must Have:** + B.A. (or equivalent degree) - a higher level degree may substitute for relevant experience + Typically, 4+ years of progressive business development experience, which includes 0-2+ years of management experience. + Ability to simultaneously manage multiple proposals of all sizes from proposal planning to delivery + Technical, proposal writing and proposal management experience with emphasis in technical products and logistics services + Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to motivate/work with others + Ability to work within time constraints, have a flexible schedule, be ready to meet changing deadlines and priorities to capture proposal needs **Qualifications We Prefer:** + Self-starter and a problem solver; must have the ability to see the big picture and implement changes as required + Prior experience in a Lead role; the ability to mentor, train, guide and inspect the work of team members and coordinate project tasks to ensure milestones are met + Association for Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) Certification + Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military + Experience preparing Pricing Volumes to include work breakdown structure (WBS) and Basis of Estimate (BOE), including government contracting proposal processes and procedures + Understanding of one or more of Adobe Creative Suite applications: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat + Skills in the use of MS Word, i.e., formatting, outlining, graphics integration, for the use of proposals Estimated Starting Salary Range: $82,039.23 - $112,803.95. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
