**Overview**
Shimmick is seeking a highly talented **Associate Proposal Manager** based out of a remote location within the United States. This challenging position will provide an excellent growth opportunity while improving the infrastructure of the city.

Shimmick is a national Contractor that has an excellent reputation within the industry and is seeking a qualified individual to join our Southwest Division. Shimmick takes on challenging projects and performs high-quality work ranging from expanding/constructing water and wastewater treatment plants to construction of the new Gerald Desmond Bridge.

**Responsibilities**
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
+ **Proposal Development:**
+ Prepare, write, and edit construction-related proposals, RFQs, and RFP responses.
+ Develop persuasive and compliant proposal content, including executive summaries, technical sections, and project case studies.
+ Ensure proposals are aligned with client requirements and industry standards.
+ **Content Management & Coordination:**
+ Collaborate with engineers, estimators, and subject matter experts to gather technical details.
+ Maintain a database of proposal templates, resumes, project descriptions, and standard responses.
+ Work with graphic designers or marketing teams to enhance proposal presentations.
+ **Compliance & Quality Control:**
+ Review RFP documents and ensure proposals meet submission guidelines and deadlines.
+ Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency in all submitted documents.
+ Conduct final reviews and revisions before submission.
+ **Project & Client Engagement:**
+ Support business development teams in client presentations and proposal-related meetings.
+ Research potential clients and competitors to tailor proposals effectively.
+ Track proposal success rates and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
**Qualifications**
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s Degree + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Previous experience in the Heavy Civil Construction Industry
+ Familiarity with construction terminology, project management, and estimating processes.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
+ Experience with proposal management software (e.g., RFPIO, Loopio, or similar) is a plus.
+ Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement, and compliance requirements.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
+ Attention to detail with a proactive and collaborative approach.
+ Familiarity with government contracting, design-build, or construction management proposals.
+ Experience in proposal graphic design or layout (e.g., InDesign, Canva).
+ Knowledge of construction estimating and scheduling tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, or Primavera).

+ Ability to travel as required

The salary range for this position is between **$110,000 - $130,000** per year depending on experience and/or education.

These benefits are available to all employees working more than 20 hours per week. Employees working less than 20 hours per week are eligible for medical, dental and vision coverage as well as EAP services.
