Job Description

Targeted Annual Pay Range: Minimum of $75,000.00 to a maximum of $87,500.00

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Associate Project Manager will be a collaborative member of the Project Management team within the Energy Management division of the Sustainable Buildings business unit.

The Associate Project Manager will manage projects from initiation through completion. The Associate Project Manager will lead internal cross-functional teams inclusive of analysts, technicians, engineers, and data scientists, to keep project implementation on-time and on-budget.  The Associate Project Manager will deliver positive results for our clients, help improve internal business processes, and deliver a high standard of professional service.

This role will involve work on both software and service types projects.

PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage multiple customer-facing and internal improvement projects and initiatives related to customer energy management.Guide and direct internal stakeholders to deliver high quality results related to software deployment, energy metering, and data management.Coordinate with customers on an ongoing basis, schedule meetings, answer their questions and serve as the main point of contact.Manage stakeholder expectations.Track project performance and ensure quality.Evaluate, monitor, and control risk factors.Maintain and track project budgets and billing.Collaborate with other Project Management team members to improve internal processes. Coordinate and work closely with sales, account management, and operations teams.

 

Qualifications

Education / Experience / Background

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or other related fields.1-3 years of demonstrated experience in project coordination or project management.Energy experience is preferred.Data analytics experience preferred.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Strong communication skills to coordinate with clients, team members, vendors and management.Advanced use of Microsoft and/or Google office tools.Outstanding organizational and time management skills.Detailed knowledge of technical project management tools and methodologies (e.g. Trello, SmartSheet, JIRA, Waterfall, Agile, hybrid methodologies, etc.). 

Required Certification / Licenses / Training

CAPM or other PMI Certification strongly preferred.
