Job Description Summary:
The Tailored Systems Business Area within Electronics Program Office directorate delivers first-of-a-kind field-ready technical solutions in support of National Security missions. The Draper team is chartered with supporting the Nation’s most challenging problems by 1) providing an iterative and agile approach to innovative and creative technical solutions within compressed timelines and 2) driving leading edge technology development efforts to support future mission needs. This role will support a large multi-functional team as part of a new and exciting technical thrust.We are seeking an Associate Program Manager (APM) who excels in fast-paced, dynamic work environments to deliver advanced technical solutions for USG customers.
This APM will be expected to support the Program Manager for a high priority development and production programs to ensure Sponsor satisfaction, technical excellence, and on-time completion of contractual deliverables. The DPM will also assist in the management and strengthening of customer relationships and support capture activities to include leading proposal efforts as required.
Job Description:
Duties/Responsibilities
• Assists in the development of project documentation to include, but not limited to, program plans, schedules, statements of work, risk tracking, purchase requisitions.
• Performs data entry and management using prescribed business tools.
• Works with the technical team to implement and update Program Plans and Integrated Master Schedule.
• Maintains actions and problem tracking systems
• Ability to apply basic administrative principles.
• Ability to learn new principles and learn Draper’s business tools.
• Works under the supervision of the Associate Director for Portfolio Execution and the assigned program manager.
• Regularly interacts with project team staff.
• Effectively conveys work results to the project team and supervisors in oral and written form; clearly communicates with management and peers on routine matters.
Skills/Abilities
• Ability to apply basic program management knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project/program activities to meet the successful delivery and of execution of assigned programs.
• Ability to organize programmatic information for effective planning, execution, project monitoring and control, and decision• making
• Ability to integrate team member inputs into reports and presentations for, and as directed, by the program manager.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering, Technical, or Business field of study
Experience
3-5 years of professional experience in program management.
Additional Job Description:
This position requires the ability to obtain a US top secret clearance which requires proof of US citizenship.
