2 NEWS is looking for an Associate Producer who is responsible for contributing story ideas, writing stories, and organizing them within an energetic and memorable newscast or digital content for the web.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assists in writing and production of broadcast or on-line publicationContributes to the editorial process and make solid decisions in breaking news situationsExecute strategies that engage and grow audiences across all digital devicesWork on digital streaming platform to assist with production of specialty programmingPhotograph local events and breaking news for digital platformsWrites, produces and edits material that appeals to target audiencesWork with investigative team to develop leadsResearch production topics using the internet, video archives, and other information sources

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, TV/film or equivalent experience may substituteUnderstand brand building directivesInteract well with journalists, anchors, photographers, news managers, production, digital and engineering staffDetail orientedExcellent verbal, written, grammar and analytical skillsAbility to develop strong news judgmentPossess journalistic integrity and understanding of viewer needs and expectationsKnowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods, including alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, digital and visual mediaAbility to meet quality standards for service & evaluate customer satisfaction
