Job Description

As an Associate Producer, you will work directly with Producers and Senior Producers to help write and assist in the production of original content for TODAY.  

 
Responsibilities:

Review and modify graphic orders, assign uncompleted requests, and produce additional elements to enhance segments.Serve as the final evaluator of prepared graphics, ensuring elements are accurate, error-free, and made in accordance with the producers’ desires and the show’s look and feel.Manage graphics from conceptualization to completion, including animations, maps, photographs, text panels, monitors and lower thirds. Review producers’ notes to develop in-depth knowledge of all segments.Act as liaison for producers, artists, graphics playback operators and control room team to translate the show’s requests into suitable broadcast elements.When assigned, works in Control Room with Director and Producers to prepare and execute rundown elements during live shows.

QualificationsAt least 2 years production and graphics experience in news production at the network or cable news levelBachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communication, English or a related field of studyStrong journalistic research skills, aesthetic and editorial judgmentExcellent verbal communication and problem-solving skills under tight deadlinesStrong grammar, punctuation, spelling and written communication skillsMust have flexible schedule and be available on holidays and weekends when needed; able to travel and work overtime, with short noticeWillingness to work late evening or early morning shifts.Must be willing to work in New York, NYInterested candidates must submit a resume/CV through www.nbcunicareers.com to be considered

Additional Requirements:

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
