HID Global is seeking an innovative and proactive Associate Materials Engineer to join our SI Engineering team in Eden Prairie. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for materials design and development, particularly in creating and qualifying consumable products for identification card printers. You'll collaborate with engineers and suppliers, conduct data-driven problem solving, and help drive material performance improvements.

As our Associate Materials Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by:
• Working as a liaison between suppliers and designing engineering to specify, developing, scaling up and implementing new product consumables
• Teaming up with engineers and suppliers to improve performance of current materials
• Participating in problem solving activities to help determine root cause
• Generating thorough test plans and collecting experimental data
• Performing data analysis and generating lab reports to document the results
• Providing technical recommendations based on data
• Cultivating and maintaining strategic customer and supplier relationships
Your Experience and Background include:
• Bachelor’s Degree in chemical engineering, materials engineering or materials science, or equivalent experience
• 0 -2 years of chemical or materials engineering experience
• Process engineering experience (preferred)
