Key Accountabilities

1.

Minimize loss of Life and Property at inside port by creating Fire Preventive culture through inspection rounds, regular trainings, awareness campaign, and response to emergency in minimal time and extinction of fire in minimal possible time, enhanced availability of Fire Fighting and rescue appliances and system

2.

Building capabilities of shift in charge and associate fire staff in latest standards and guidelines in Fire services, Response in various emergencies, Physical fitness trainings to keep the crew fit.

 

3.

Indenting Material and Services for smooth functioning of Departments and enhance the response characteristics of fire crew as well as firefighting appliance 

4.

Project Coordination of any new project’s firefighting system with project personnel.

 

5.

Legal Compliance  of Fire Services as per the requirement of Legatrix in the software as well as in Field.

.

 

6.

Inculcate organizational change in the department through trainings and implementation of new procedures.

 

7.

Attending emergency calls inside and outside port premises and attending Mock Drills..

 

8.

Indent of Material and Services according to Budget Allocated.

9.

Impart training to sub ordinates and Associate Fire Staff on latest codes, emergency response procedures, grooming and personality development, physical fitness etc.

Execute awareness campaign, competitions, quiz during National Fire Service week.

Preparation of Management Information Statistics (MIS), Departmental Presentations for Monthly meetings and weekly threads.

Fire Preventive Inspection round of critical areas, Conducting Topography drill

Testing and Maintenance of Fire Fighting and rescue equipment/appliances/system.

Identification of Activities carried out at your respective assigned areas. Ensure to implement JSA, HIRAC, WI/SOP for each Activities carried out your respective areas.

Update with the latest technological trends in fire domain

GIFire B.E/B.Tech fire   / B. Sc. Fire / from recognized institution of state or central govt. Minimum 6-10 years of experience in firefighting and rescue operation, capable to handle department independently (in close co-ordination of Head-Safety &Fire Services).
