Associate Manager – Business Development, Cargo
Develop and implement comprehensive business development plans to achieve company goals and expand market share in the Cargo and Airport industry. Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations within the air cargo industry. Initiate negotiations and collaborate with key stakeholders to secure high-value contracts and partnerships Update and provide monthly MIS for tonnage and revenue to Management. Identify cause of deviation (if any), w.r.t last month / year / budget. Conduct meetings with Airlines, Freight forwarders and other stakeholders to identify influencing factors. Identify new revenue streams, business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations within the cargo industry. Assist in developing the Business plan and P&L of cargo business with proposed plan and get the necessary approval from respective stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, and marketing to ensure seamless execution of business initiatives Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty Assist in preparing presentations and survey outputs.  Analyze the new requirements raised by respective stakeholders in various meetings. Track the requirement and update management periodically on the developments Utilize market research and analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to adapt business strategies accordingly. Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs and recommend competitive pricing strategy Represent NMIA at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance visibility and forge new partnerships. Stay updated with industry best practices, technological advancements, and market trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation Bachelor’s degree in aviation management or business administration or marketing management Master’s degree in aviation management or business administration or marketing management (preferred) Exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of successful business development initiatives Minimum 10 years of experience in cargo business development (airport, airline, freight forwarding) Knowledge and understanding of international and domestic cargo transportation requirements including special commodities. Proven experience in building and maintaining strong customer relationships. Successful history of negotiating and closing high-value contracts Experience in market research, analysis, and identifying new business opportunities
