We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Associate Engineering Manager to lead and support our New Product Introduction (NPI) programs within the Stryker’s Acute Care business unit within the Clinical Communication and Workflows portfolio.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about engineering and people development, providing the chance to help shape the strategic direction of Medical digital healthcare products while managing and growing a talented team. The Clinical Communication and Workflows portfolio is a fast paced and dynamic domain including the integration of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies with hardware development.

As an Associate Manager in Advanced Operations, you will be responsible for accelerating the pace and effectiveness of New Product Introduction. You will provide technical oversight and leadership for delivering premium products through excellence in supply chain architecture, manufacturing, process, and technology development. This role will include the leadership and coaching of a team driven to deliver on project milestones while supporting the development of our internal production systems and global supply base by progressing projects through the Design Transfer process.

This is a hybrid role based in Orlando, FL.

What You Will Do:

Manage and mentor team members to deliver on program goals aligned with strategic objectives. Promote a learning culture, guiding professional development to strengthen skills that support the team and Advanced OperationsProactively drive positive outcomes to technical, business, and personnel problemsProvide direction and leadership to the team, particularly in complex or challenging situations. Effectively remove obstacles, allocate resources, and work across functions to support issue resolution and drive project progress.Partner with HR in identifying, acquiring top talent while developing and retaining talent within the team.Lead initiatives to ensure successful NPI launches by partnering closely with the operations team. Focus on aligning strategic priorities to deliver efficient, high-quality New Product Introduction processes that meet both regulatory and market demands.Develop and implement governance frameworks to monitor NPI program performance. Leverage data-driven insights to evaluate program success, promote continuous improvement, and drive operational efficiency through effective cross-functional partnerships.Support a culture of diversity, inclusion, and belonging at a team level in hiring and staff development.Be an effective partner across all functions within divisional and Stryker manufacturing organizations to deliver associated new products in line with divisional pipelines.Lead projects and initiatives within the business unit, with responsibility for planning, budgeting, meeting project goals and adequately staffing with talent.Drive financial accountability across direct team. Participate in cost center budget creation, projections, and tracking activities.Critically assess new product charters & financial plans to extrapolate key deliverables such as standard cost and launch requirements.Lead & coach team members to validate and release new process / equipment to production in line with Stryker systems & specifications.Foster a culture of continuous improvement through initiatives that streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and achieve cost savings.Lead a team and cross-functional counterparts to demonstrate compliance with applicable regulatory requirements for a specific project/program

What You Need:

Required:

Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or applicable technical field 6+ years technical experience

Preferred:

Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing and presentation skills essentialUnderstanding of, experience in, and ability to mentor in one's own technical / functional disciplinesDemonstrated leadership, project management and engineering experience in new product introduction in a regulated environment preferredStrong analytical, logical, and strategic thinking skills to navigate complex technical challenges and drive innovative solutionsProficiency in GD&T, process mapping, statistical methods, and process/product validation is highly beneficialThis role is ideal for a professional who is organized, detail-oriented, and dedicated to driving excellence in product development and launchTalented performance coach who is skilled at providing actionable feedback to team members, setting clear performance objectives and managing team member performanceGeneral knowledge of the healthcare market and competitors
