As an Associate Intern, you will be assigned to work on a project team and assist the project controls and project management team members in the execution of their project work. This includes, but is not limited to the following:

Project scheduling, cost tracking, progress monitoring, and project / portfolio reporting for power-related engineering projectsUtilize and expand your academic background in project controls and project management tools and methodologiesEager to learn new skills and develop knowledge to add make a valuable impact to project team operationWilling to engage with others to understand project team needs Qualifications

Essential skills and experience:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program with a strong academic background, preferably with an emphasis in Construction Management, Industrial Engineering, or General Engineering, or equivalent degreeStrong organizational skills with high attention to detail.Self-Starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction.Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions, and meet deadlines.Working knowledge in MS Office tools, with emphasis on MS Excel in creating and maintaining detailed, interactive spreadsheets, workbooks, and databases.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to interact and multitask with project team members, clients, and vendors of varying position levels.

Valued but not required skills and experience:

Prior related internship, co-op, or work experience, which includes project controls, project planning, project scheduling, and earned value performanceFamiliarity with scheduling software, preferably Primavera P6Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community
