Marsh McLennan South Africa is seeking candidates for “Account Executive” for Advisory Department based in Cape Town, Foreshore.

What can you expect?

In this position you will be working with other Account Executives in the Energy & Power team in a client facing role dealing with our clients to assist with the provision of day to day service and renewal activities for all their insurance needs.

You may assist with preparing proposals and presentations, cultivating relationships with team members, clients and insurers. An exciting sector, the Energy and Power team is a fast growing area of the business working with clients in the traditional energy space, as well as renewable energy.

We will count on you to:

Maintain quality in all areas of client deliverables, including monitoring delivery and invoicing to ensure client is satisfied.

Take a pro-active approach to all aspects of account management and service delivery to clients, ensuring client needs are identified and met in line with agreed service standards; (Client First Principles)

Execute renewal/placement strategies in conjunction with placement colleagues in accordance with client instructions.

Use risk experience to perform critical client functions, including: evaluating risks; reviewing loss experience, cash flow and financials; developing solutions; articulating impact of options; leveraging prepared analytics and making recommendations to client across product lines.

Partner with more senior Account Managers to retain and generate new business by leveraging strategy information and managing contract reviews and midterm changes.

Strive to meet sales goals and works with more senior Account Managers to expand the book of business.

Strengthen and maintain relationships with clients, prospects, client teams and producers to provide best in class service and drive growth.

Serve as a client contact and responds to difficult client needs and questions to improve the client experience.

Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of changing market condition and understands and comply with all compliance, professional and transparency standards to better serve clients.

What you need to have:

Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field

Min 5 years of experience in insurance sector

Strong communication skills, cross-functional team working perspective, detail-oriented, strong analytical thinking ability and planning skills

MS Excel will be an advantage

Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken
